Throughout history, humans have been using various fishing methods. Over the years, the tools that we use became pretty sophisticated. It was only a matter of time before someone would invent a quadcopter drone designed specifically for fishermen.
And somebody did it. It’s created by the company AguaDrone and it is the first drone that can autonomously fish in deep waters. Not only that, it can find fish in a pond or a lake. It is also a waterproof drone, and if needed it can also operate on the water surface.
What is AguaDrone?
AguaDrone is the only drone that uses a Sonar Pod to find fish. It sends a wireless signal to the smartphone or tablet of the user which enables him to see the location of the fish in real-time. With its waterproof design, the AguaDrone can land in and take off from fresh and saltwater. Also, the drone is equipped with unique and quick-change pod accessories, allowing users to switch from one pod to the next without any hassle.
Sonar Pod
AguaDrone’s Sonar Pod is a 100% waterproof, self-contained, fish finder that sends the fish images, water depths, and water temperatures to any Wi-Fi device.
The sonar is capable of reading depths down to 190 feet below the water’s surface. Then, it sends information back to your tablet or smartphone up to 350 feet away. It is equipped with a free Sonar App, allowing users’ easy access to the pod’s reported findings. Multiple users can log on to the app to view the sonar’s live feed.
Fish Pod
Apart from the Sonar Pod, this drone also comes along with the Fish Pod. It is a remotely operated, payload release system capable of carrying a payload of up to 2 pounds and releasing it remotely with the push of a button.
The Fish Pod can be used to carry bait and lures to those hard to reach areas, beyond the surf line and to those previously inaccessible waterways. Users can fly their bait or lure out and drop it with the push of a button. It is also used for skip bait fishing in deep ocean water for big game fish.
Film Pod
The Film Pod is a waterproof camera that can capture footage from the air and under the water’s surface as well.
It provides HD video with an image resolution up to 16 Mega pixels and unique wide-angle lens that allows the user to capture 360 panoramic footage. It comes equipped with a micro SD card slot, capable of holding up to 64 GB card. Moreover, it is enabled to send imagery to any Wi-Fi smartphone or tablet. Also, the Film Pod’s app allows users to control the camera’s view from a smartphone or tablet.
